I have to say that although I was incredibly intimidated at first, the ‘Krumping’ workshop run by Katlin was incredibly fun and interesting. I was petrified at first, but as soon as I began to let go and actually concentrate on my dancing and not what other people thought, I really loosened up. It was amazing when we formed the circle and several people, including me, went in the middle and krumped. I wasn’t doing very well, but then I did the move the involved rotating your whole body and it suddenly became easier and fun. It was great watching the more experienced krumpers, (Katlin, Ted and Khari) because they really knew what they were doing. I can now believe that people go spiritual while krumping, because from the 1 minute I did, it was totally freeing.
the krumping workshop was fun. it wqas a lot better than i expected it to be, with the exception of being sore afterwards :( then they had us free style at the end. i wouldve gone in, but i didn't know what to do. but it definitely made me want to find whatever made me angry (i won't say what haha) and just beat... them... DOWN!!!! i can't wait to see them for the ballet workshop.

The workshop realy gave me a window to express my anger. i can truly understantd why the opressed people did this dance. at first i was sort of intimidated by the whoole concept, and i felt out of place. but as soon as we got into the dance i forgot that.
the moves were very hard to pull off, and i would enjoy more classes on krumping.
the krimp work shop with katlin was really fun. i enjoyed watching the movie rize, i enjoyed it so much that i went and rented it myself to see the whole thing and it is a really good movie that show all aspects of krumping in LA. krmping with catlin is lots of fun becasue he is always willing to teach you how and never puts anyone down. doing the coreographed dance was good but the best part of the whole thing was the circle becasue you got to see the real thing, when i went into the krump circle i was thinking about all the different moves and how to make them look as agressive as possible.
I feel like I learned a lot in this workshop, our instructor obviously knew his stuff and expressed and taught it too us in the most efficient and brief way possible. the process we went through, the amount of reps and the descriptions of the basic principles of this difficult dance style made it informing and easy to expand on, if we choose to further deepen our experience and learning of krumping. the improvisation required a lot, understanding, an idea of flow, and plain coordination, along with a lot more. Katlin really made it work better by making us know that krumping really was for and helped express your anger and passion, and this worked very well.
Krumping was fun it sortreminded me of the tribal dances i see in movies wild and Crazy. I liked learning about the culture of it and I was really moved by that Rodney King story. I cant wait for more workshops
the krumping class was epic and i really had alot of fun krumping. unfortuanuntly i didnt go in the middle and krump. but next time i will defininetly push myself to go in the middle and do the best i can =]

I think that the krumping workshop was especially energy expensive but it was very good for exerting pent up energy and anger and that kind of stuff. I didn't eat very much lunch before the workshop so i didn't try as hard as i should have. we did the same workshop last year and I found that I was more successful the first time around. But I still thought that learning the history and combinations was fun.
I personally didn't like the workshop only because krump is not my forte and i find it hard to through my body into those kinds of moves. I found it wierd that when we were learning all the moves i got it but then when we went into the circle, it wasn't really the moves anymore. It was kind of what you saw is what they did, i didn't see any popping or chest pops, no stomps just what you see the stariotipical krump. If i were to do the workshop again i would go in the cirle and actually incorperate what we learned.
Crouching Cricket it was really good to do the Krumping workshop. its very rare i think we find a place to put negative energy thats benfits us . I was also surprised how much of a workout it was its almost difficult to believe that some of the dancers can get so strong just through dance.

I enjoyed the workshop very much, had a lot of fun and fond a very good outlet.
I didn't enjoy krumping at all because i felt ridiculous when attempted. Learning the history of krump was interesting though.
I thought that it was really fun, and I think that the history of krump is awsome. It really lrt me let my feelings out in the form of dance.

I believe that krumping is good for the heart and the soul, it's not really a form of dance that needs discipline, you either can or you can't.
But even if you don't look as good krumping as you think you do, it's still a good excercise and a good emotional work-out.
Personally, I know I'm not that good at krumping, but just being able to really let go my emotions into a dance is incredible.
