Are there any similarities between ballet and krumping? (Hint: don’t think about the specific style of dance, think about the bigger picture i.e. modern dance and ballet are completely different, but both require flexibility).

yes i do belive that there are some similaratys. in ballet you get an extream work just like in krump, and they both hert alot befor you get good at them
both dance styles require alot of leg strength. my legs still hurt from the ballet workshop. krumping is alot more viloent than ballet but they both require alot of strength. i think ballet takes more strength than krump.
The similarity bewteen them is that the dancers live to do there dance. They are at the top of there there fitness and they wake up every morning to do there dance becuase they love it.
Both forms are very strong and defined, despite their many differences (attitude, style). About the same requisite of physical ability in the arms, legs and torso is apparent but I think that ballet needs more flexibility.
Before even starting the ballet unit i thought that i had to be a very manly dance forum but the unit and the workshop proved it to me and any one who says other wise shold try it it's really hard
yes i think the they may be to two hardest forums of dance it's really hard be really rewording i love the spins in dance and the krumping workshop was the best dance class we should do a krumping unit
I believe that strength and being flexible are two things, but I really believe that the type of balance you need to have, that kind of control of your muscles, is useful mainly in ballet and krump.
